Music as a Spark for Creativity: Alice Glass Live in Brooklyn

Title here

Growing up, I was obsessed with electro music, and Alice glass was a big part of my playlist. Her energetic beats and catchy melodies always made me feel nostalgic and alive. Listening to her songs alongside Crystal Castles and other electro bands shaped my love for synth-driven music. Attending her Brooklyn concert in May 2025 felt like stepping back in time, but with the excitement of experiencing her music live.

What was the atmosphere like at the concert?

Walking into the venue in Brooklyn, the energy was electric. The crowd buzzed with excitement, a mix of longtime fans and first-time listeners. Colored lights danced across the stage, reflecting off the walls and creating a vibrant, almost surreal atmosphere. The venue itself had a cozy yet edgy vibe, with exposed brick walls and intimate seating that made you feel part of something special. The combination of music, lights, and cheering fans made every moment feel alive and unforgettable.

What were my favorite moments or songs?

One of the standout moments was when Alice performed “Alice Practice”, the crowd sang along in perfect harmony, and the energy was contagious. Another unforgettable highlight was the live remix of Celestica, which turned the venue into a mini dance party. Sharing the experience with my brother made it even more memorable; we laughed, danced, and captured candid selfies that perfectly captured the joy of the night.

How Alice Deejay’s Music Inspires My Design

As a graphic design student, I find her music inspiring because it’s creative, energetic, and full of personal style.

“The energy of Alice Glass’s live show reminded me how music can ignite new sparks of creativity in design.”

An Afternoon at MoMA: Discovering Art in New York

What drew me to visit MoMA this summer?

During my trip to New York City, I knew MoMA (the Museum of Modern Art) had to be on my list. It’s one of the world’s most important collections of modern and contemporary art, and I was excited to see works that I had only admired in classes or online—like Van Gogh’s The Starry Night.

What was my favorite part of the experience?

“Visiting MoMA reminded me that creativity is about slowing down, noticing details,
and letting yourself be surprised.”

I loved how the museum flowed from one gallery to another, making me feel like I was traveling through different eras of creativity. The highlight for me was the room dedicated to the history of design. It gave me a new perspective on how design influences so many products we use every day, from chairs and Post-its to more complex innovations, and how these changes have shaped our modern world.

What did I take away from the visit?

I left with new inspiration for my own creative projects and a sense of how powerful art and design can be in connecting people across time and cultures.
